Nicholas Felton and a small team have released an app today called Reporter. A few years ago, I tried a similar application by Felton called Daytum, which is an application that he used to keep track of the data that formed his beautiful annual reports (pictured to the left). I just couldn't get into it because I lacked the discipline to log in everyday and track everything I was doing. Reporter feels like a great compromise to that issue.
"Reporter is a new application for understanding the things you care about. With a few randomly timed surveys each day, Reporter can illuminate aspects of your life that might be otherwise unmeasurable."
I purchased the $3.99 app to hopefully learn a few patterns of the way I live. This app is not unlike a lot of devices that monitor our daily lives like the Nike Fuel band and Jawbone's UP. With the growth of tracking software and products, I feel like Reporter will inspire more life-tracking apps.
